Corpse Holes

[Divine Intervention]

The corpse holes in the Canal Ward, despite saying "These have recently been filled in" which seems to indicate they could be dug up, are not openable by a shovel.  When you attempt to dig on or around them you receive the message "The ground here is unsuitable for digging".
