Phera Al-Shren was a PC with a complicated background.

Born among the Calim Slums he was a Priest of Mask who found his faith shaken by the underworld of various calshite ports. As he aged out of theft and pickpocketing he found himself amongst the clergy using his wits and brash behavior to court many thugs. Unfortunately greed, corruption, vice and gang wars lead to his surface gang's demise making him doubt Mask's strength.

Making his way to Lower Sanctuary before the Workmill Rebellion he found himself raising another gang only to once again find himself surrounded by death and betrayal. Some taking SG bribes, others being executed by watchers- Gas, Chosen, the threats of Lower and similar. Broken and shattered he left Lower Sanctuary for the Underdark. Because in Calim Ports there is one power that everyone turns to when desperate- Myrkul.

Years later returning he found Lower in a curious state. Besieged by Cult wars with very few active gangs. Immediately setting out he sought to raise himself a gang proper. It wasn't before long his services were enlisted by a disenfranchised and exiled Count Vaugh of Upper Sanctuary.

In less than 12 hours we established and recruited hard for THE UPRIGHT MEN, using tried and true RwG faction creation efforts.

Upright Men creation

After that began crime- Many petty acts but the biggest being posing as a Arcane MImic and ripping of Geldgier for 2,250 gold and a potion of seeing much to the chagrin of Vaughn and Odelstad who he had paid protection money to.

However things quickly changed when it was discovered Vaughn and Alto were involved in working for a devil. Shren left the gang and in one fell swoop the Upright Men turned on him and beat the ever-loving-shit out of him at the crone dragging him to the Fortress of the Black King's Bastards.

The Bastards showed up and ran off the upright Men, resulting in Shren's involvement in the Sacred Cave.

BETRAYAL

It was amazing having his backstory be reflected by once more being betrayed and everyone around him dying

However as a cleric of Myrkul there's a rule that anyone who touches a cleric of Myrkul dies.

Amusingly enough-

Everyone who Betrayed me, while reasserting my dominance as Colorspray Champion of the World

(almost) Everyone who had betrayed me from the Upright Men and beaten me up died within the week. Divine prophecy fort the win.

However Shren also had his bad days.

In a legendary bad day I kidnapped a Paladin, fought off two Ascension PCs who would later join me in my last ride, and escaped to Thomas' Shop with said Paladin.

The Paladin was then released into the Wild because Thomas found him "Too weak"

Among other things though there were to very huge moments in Shren's life

QUITE POSSIBLY THE WEIRDEST AND MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN EFU: PANTS SMUGGLING THRALL
