As shown by the journal entry when you type "/c help chat"

"/c app" doesn't work, but "/c desc app" does.
"/c desc reset" doesn't work.
"/c set" doesn't work, but "/c desc set" does.

I thought there was a command to add a new line, too, but it isn't listed there.

There's also a really annoying text limit which prevents much from being written in it. See hidden as example of what is too big to fit:

[hide= desc text] /c desc set This woman is small and frail, almost skeletally gaunt. A survivor from the surface she seems extremely malnourished with skin a porcelain pale nigh untouched by the suns damaging rays. Her hair is well kept and falls luxuriously around the sunken features of her face, dark rings around her sleepless black eyes.

Her manner of dress is a shambling mockery of once nobility. Hard wear causes the edges to be frayed and ripped though whatever she wears attempts to be kept in high quality. She adorns herself with lots of jewelry, all old and tarnished, reflecting the aging powers of death that afflict her and gradual drifting away from mortal concepts of beauty. Indeed the womans very form seems to be trapped in a stage of gradual undeath, a cruel cross between life and a slowly growing unlife. [/hide]

#NL# is the new line command when added to a section of the text. I can only recall that because I looked at it often enough on the info page of Mistlocke.

So to help Rose out what you'd probably want to do is:

/c desc set FIRST PARAGRAPH

Then

/c desc app #NL##NL# (for a gap I've found you need it twice to work) SECOND PARAGRAPH

Alright cool ^^ Also you can get past the standard nwn text box restriction if you write what you are going to post in a word document first. In game you type "/tp" (there are other things you can do too, but I use this), backspace three times, then ctrl + v to paste. It will bypass the text limitation and post the entire thing. So for those who didn't know, now you do! That is how people make those big sendings.

Howlando

If someone writes fresh text explaining how to do this properly I'll update the text.
