The stance applies a -5 ab and a -5 damage. The ab malus is working fine, but the damage malus is magical, meaning it will subtract only from magical damage, that is not very common, leaving the overall monk damage unaltered, since a source of damage cannot be negative. It would work better if it was a -5 bludgeoning damage malus.
