Ikemenufa of the Tiger

What happened to Ikemenufa is best left unrevealed, as we wouldn't want the Mists to be shown for what they are! But, I will say that I enjoyed his ending and found it massively appropriate for the character and for myself, especially considering how often I had to take breaks from EFU during his career because of OOC reasons. In concept, he was simple, but the people around him helped me develop the character into something that I enjoyed logging on to play every day, and I couldn't ask for more than that. Perhaps if THE END wasn't so near, things might have escalated to pretty epic proportions, but Ymph being what it was, this was a good end.

Of course, thank yous are in order. VP and Jayde deserve the majority of applause from me. The former's Akreaya was with Ikemenufa from start to finish and the interactions we shared outside of quests, both hostile and cooperative, were integral to bringing Ikemenufa to this point. As for Jayde, team nature is always a pleasurable adventure whenever he's around and he dealt with me and my peskiness despite my HOG TRIBE nature. BOM and (I believe?) wcsherry played pretty large roles in encouraging Ikemenufa forward even when I was feeling a bit morose about my capabilities, both in their own ways -- I appreciated both circumstances! Also, I have to thank Howland, who provided some of his own encouragement, and all the gazers that I had the pleasure of wandering around with. Thanks!

I don't have many screenshots. It's a combination of a computer nuking and the simple fact that my laptop with most of my early shots is packed away and I'm too lazy to find the screenies. Here's a couple of highlights, mostly from recent days:

[hide="Tiger Mask"]Ikemenufa took part in a Mist vision that showed him the very journey Kepti took the Stargazers on, and this was his reward for surviving a p. sick Banshee's Wail from good ol' Shylae. Awesome, awesome lore-ridden quest from Jayde here.

[/hide]

[hide="Gutterclaw!"]More loot, this time from the aforementioned inspiring moment from wcsherry. Ikemenufa attacked another Stargazer after they had killed an outsider who had undergone the Steps of Sanq and gained a cloak for his deeds. The other stargazer took the cloak from the man's corpse, and Ikemenufa called him an abomination for it, and struck. He lost, but an elder Tiger Tribe gazer approached him afterwards and gave him this for his bravery.

[/hide]

[hide="On the prowl"]I CONSTANTLY tried to engage myself in more PvP more often than I usually did with previous characters. As per usual, I lost most of my encounters, but they were all rather harmless in nature. I could never catch the appropriate outsider to pounce upon from the shadows, no matter how much I walked around the Forgotten Forest in stealth. All you assholes do is run when people aren't around you. Boo.

[/hide]

[hide="The Stewards"]Ikemenufa hated outsiders even before it was cool. This is a more recent conversation with "the" Emlyn, who Ikemenufa constantly feuded with as a rogue in the Stewards' eyes. He always believed that the gazers joining the Stewards were almost sacrificing themselves in doing so, and he outright refused to associate with them permanently. This created a lot of issues early in his career, considering how willing everyone was to associate with him.

[/hide]

[hide="Kepti"]Ikemenufa had always hated Kepti's playful demeanor, but he couldn't deny the Fox's wisdom and strength. Ikemenufa moved towards a growing obsession with the Mists and Kepti's power towards the end, but some of his more nefarious plots -- including his original intention to overthrow the present stargazer elders -- never came to fruition.

[/hide]

[hide="Agony!"]Size matters, I guess.

[/hide]

[hide="Mal'dun"]Aforementioned BOM inspiration. He let Ikemenufa tag along on a "Big Game Hunters" quest that was clearly specifically designed to challenge village PC's rather than include nature folks, but with Mira's help I managed to turn the whole thing into a really fun philosophical question. The party was hellbent on killing a great saber tiger spirit in order to lure out some wyvern and yadda yadda. Whatever the case, they wanted to kill a tiger, and Ikemenufa wasn't cool with that.

We'll avoid a discussion of how I was downed in about five seconds after the townies were done talking. I wanted to take revenge, but all you pussies ran to Old Port too soon, and never left Mistlocke whenever I was online to boot.

[/hide]

[hide=Grrrawr]I actually did eventually get saber tiger form, but I was so eager to find an appropriately badass in character moment to reveal it to everyone that I never had the opportunity to use it in combat. Ever. Ever.

... except once, against a wyvern.

But we shan't reveal the details of that duel here.[/hide]

Thanks, everyone! Ikemenufa didn't interact with many, but I appreciate everyone who he did have a chance to talk to. There was lots of good roleplay all around, even if he was a mean bastard more often than not.

Adios!

VanillaPudding

A very good PC to roleplay with, both as an ally and one who disagreed with my own on many occasions about many things! Awesome job.

The Old Hack

Ikemenufa was great. I regret not seeing as much of him as I would have liked. Thanks!

Bravo and cudo's for taking on that hunting party, outnumbered, out gunned, but stuck to his principles!

Hey now, Leto hasn't left Ymph yet! And probably never will. I really enjoyed hunting with this character with my water genasi ranger ^^ Very cool interaction between land and sea natureish types.

Blue41

Proud Tiger does as he likes. Excellently played tribal- only wish we could have a few more encounters.

Ikemenufa!
Epic guy. It would be near impossible to go on without you guy!

My hero!

Vlaid

Even though I didn't get a lot of interactions with him over my various PC's while he was alive...I always get this sense of strong inner pride and strength that made him seem imposing in situations in which he was actually very much at a disadvantage. Very much one of my favorite Stargazers I've seen, personally!
