[tface=goudy]FOREWORD: Medicine is a necessity.

BASIC PRINCIPLE OF MEDICINE: Medicine could be divided into three parts. Before the next part can be understood, one must hold sufficient knowledge of the previous one. In this handbook, I will address each of these parts in an attempt to disperse the knowledge to the common people.

[tface=goudy]Part I. KNOWLEDGE
Before any surgeon can take the knife, before any doctor can cure a disease and before any physician can bandage a wound, he has to hold the KNOWLEDGE on how to do it.
For an example, no doctor will ever cure your disease without knowing he has to knock you out cold gather the correct herbs first.
Nowadays you get these fancy magical potions that cure you of disease in an instant and so one day while doing my trade, I was asked by a man of no wit: "Why do people need doctors when they just can drink potions?"
I chased the bastard off with my knife after taking all of his potions and gold, screaming: “Go drink your magical potions now, fool! You will be happy I will cure your disease for free!“
And that’s the why. Not everyone is a rich dastardly adventurer who drinks more magical liquid a day than twenty ounces of water, as is the suggested minimum. Always a need of goodly doctors who will take care of your problems for free.[/I][/tface]

[tface=goudy]Part II. SKILL
You can’t ever become the doctor of kings before getting enough of SKILL to do it. It’s all about establishing a proper theory with the KNOWLEDGE (see above) you gathered and then gathering the experience for it. Start with rats. Then homeless children dogs and then you can master your art by opening a stall somewhere. The poorer the area, the better, because if you go to a rich area the only people visiting your stall will be lackwit adventurers laughing at how unnecessary your services are. You know you’ve gathered enough skill when things become a routine for you. A patient with a broken leg? Easy. Someone had his leg cut off? Salt it, torch it, bandage it. Done.[/tface][/i]

[tface=goudy]Part III. CONFIDENCE
[/B]
Even with enough KNOWLEDGE and SKILL, you will encounter new things that will made your eyes go wide and throw up right next to your patient. When dealing with the unknown, you can’t rely on knowledge because you don’t know anything about that thing and you can’t rely on skill much either because who ever performed surgery on a man with rat paws and a lion tail who has tentacles instead of fingers? I know I haven't!
In such situation, you have to rely on CONFIDENCE. If you’ve had enough women, you probably don’t have to worry about this. Otherwise, they say drinking a few bottles of strong rum does the trick (or cheaper spirits work) and I can say this works from personal experience. Don't be shy to give a sip to your patient as well, he'll be the one getting cut, after all.
