Could these be looked at a bit? They strike me as somewhat overly harsh for low level or lone characters. They tend to happen out of the blue and in the latest one I set off three traps before I even knew what was happening. Also, at one point I was in a PvP lying defeated on the ground when one of these things suddenly went off. The people who had just defeated me had their hands full just staying alive and some random bandit walked up to my helpless character and killed it.

They may be supposed to add danger to travelling in the Crossroads or something, but the wilderness is already plenty dangerous and these ambushes are so powerful compared to single characters that it is almost absurd. Could they be altered so fewer bandits spawn if the character is alone, for example?

Bonhomie

In one very short PvP session with Perroy1 the bandits spawned twice on us. Because I was on the ground and subdued, this was an extra pain since they were targetting my character.

Another problem of sorts is that the traps they spawn overlap, and spawn directly beneath and around you. They're only minor spike traps afaik, but nontheless.

Love the random spawn, but imo this one needs some looking at.

They're adjusted to be a handable threat to those who run into them, but provide a lot more danger at higher levels. A warning is given on the onset of the danger period and when an ambush happens. I think it's fine.

The chance both of the event and ambush occurring is very remote, so getting killed in this way during it is extremely misfortunate.

You guys have been killing these bandits forever. That they're a threat now is good, but they're the same as they always were.

Awesome scary stuff, definitely keeps us on our toes, and make the server scarier and more 'real' like. I actually jumped. I guess just be careful when PvPing.

Nevertheless, I've tried to bribe the bandits to not go after the poorly supplied newcomers.

Random_White_Guy

Except this is Scoundrel life, bribing them only encourages them to come back with more friends asking for more!

Frankly I like it a lot though I can see how it'd trouble a newcomer.

Where the haste pots and flash bags at?

Scripted Ganks, EFU at a whole new level.
