Professor Death

Mechanically what effect do you get for stacking a blur and a stoneskin (if any)?

HungeringShadows

Blur grants immunity to level 1 spells and lower in addition to 10% concealment and 5/+1 dr. Stacking the two would be wasteful due to the fact that if you are hit by something for 10 damage, even if it doesn't have a +1 weapon the 10 damage will be deducted from your stoneskin.

Blur unlike stoneskin can absorb an infinite amount of damage. However a +1 weapon negates the damage reduction of blur, where as a +5 weapon is required to ignore stoneskin.

In short.

You'd have 10/+5 dr for 10xlevel points of damage, 10% concealment, spell immunity level 1 and lower.

You also look hella cool, all rocky and glowy and shit. Scares lvl 2's like nobodies business. Oh shit, they say, that guys somebody.

Entering an area full buffed in itself is able to scare a majority. Definitely adds a fear factor.

Even more scary is the plus 1 posts posted in this thread, when the first response answered the question.

Cool, I want in this conversation only to pad my post count by one.

you should do this!  Blur and Stoneskin for life!

If you were hit by something for 15 damage, without a +1 weapon, would the stoneskin take 10 and then ghostly visage take the remaining 5?

Jagged

No. Just the Stoneskin would reduce it by 10 damage.

EfUA_undercover

I wouldnt necessarily say stacking them is wasteful. The blur will keep your stoneskin up for longer due to the 10% concealment. If you can spare the coin/spellslot its definately useful.

Paha

Damage reduction don't stack, so only the higher one is taken in account at the time. That being stoneskin, but you still have effects of blur as others mentioned. Concealment, little spell immunity and so on, and blur remains even if stoneskin is broken.
