With the new bandit faction the caravans are now a possibility for a very cool player encounter. I suggest that the amount of times they come up increase slightly, as I've only seen them happen like once a reset so far, usually at the beginning of it.

I don't know how it is now, but also make it that bandits can't just leap outta stealth and go straight for the oxen, forcing them instead to subdue those guarding the caravan.

Perhaps a reins item could be placed in the inventory of the PC that has accepted the caravan that when used on another player transfers ownership of the ox?

It might also be good to not make the ox disappear when you "stray too far" because PvP can be getting hectic and there tends to be a lot of running around.

Any additional ideas, friends?

I am pretty sure the 'stray too far' feature is necessary to stop people from just holding the Ox at transitions and then walking the entire area on their own invis and transitioning and having it teleport all the way across to the next area without any risk of it being damaged or harmed.

Provided they come up early on in the reset, they'll be available for you. One person taking it doesn't preclude someone else from doing it. If you want to, you can have everyone in a trade group take an ox.
