Sorry if this has been discussed before, but today i was casually in sis laman and on my way out, directly out of the transition me and sion were attacked by a group of invisible maraudersa bunch of them. No space nor time to run for us since we were sorcerers. Sion got off an invisibilty and a tanglefoot and rapid sneak attacks put me on the ground and they continued to attack and rob me of my newly gained 6th lvl. This was upsetting not just for the level loss but the lack fo warning of such a large force and the insane close distance between the entrance and the spawnpoint for them. Unless your in a group those mauraders could kill any lone adventurer who just stepped out of sis laman. Or at least low levels. Just wondering if that spawn point in general could be removed or set further away, so at least you have a moments notice before being killed by a horde of invisible marauders. And not spawn invisible, spell invisible.

They don't spawn invisible. They drink potions, so I expect that one of your crew transitioned faster than you, and they noted them/him and started acting. By the moment you came in, someone ahead of you may have already ignited reactions to drink invisibility brews, and when their original target escaped, you were next.

I do agree that the closest spawn place is a bit awkward.

Moving this spawn would indeed be a good idea imo.

I have had plenty of problems with the monsters in this particular spawn not only transition ganking, but blocking the stairs when they get too close as well, keeping anyone from be able to leave.

Were you not buffed/ready for combat, or were you just out for a casual stroll through the monster, undead, and marauder infested deserts assuming you would be safe?

It is kind of....supposed to be a wild and untamed area of danger. MAYBE they spawned a bit close to the transition....but unless you were attacked pretty much as soon as you transitioned across, that wasn't the cause of your death.

they basically spawn at the only way in and out of sis liman, there is not even a way past them once they do spawn, this is a problem for any pc that cannot fight in close combat, even those who can, and being right outside is a pain.
