Just finished it after a twenty four hour gaming spree (my EFU and RL life suffered) and this is what I have to say about it!

Excellent graphics, combat engine, and more. For people who are just interested in the story, the game offers an experience that gives you an enriched, if at times, awkward story. A few bugs I noted, but they did not detract from the overall impression from the game and were at times pretty funny.

Cons- the ending is less than satisfactory, there are only three optional endings, and I deeply desire an epilogue similar to that of Dragon Age Origins and Awakenings, a brief blurb of how your decisions effected the variety of races that you interacted with. It felt like, no matter what ending you chose, the result came from the immediate decision, not from the choices and decisions you made in the past. While there were -effects- from the previous ME1 and ME2 campaigns, by in large, the storyline (which it should, to a degree) acted independently of what happened previously.

And Cerberus goes fucking crazy. I actually -liked- them in ME2. Now I think they are just a last minute antagonist that they cobbled together to provide a repeat perspective. I -deeply- disliked that.

As well, the Mass Effect series has a penchant for people blowing their skulls off. Wtf is with that?

Did you play the multiplayer at all? Your "galactic readiness" is improved by playing the multiplayer some, which can give you better endings, from what I hear.

And Cerberus was always crazy. I don't know what you're talking about!

I felt the graphics were a little odd. Like they tried to make them more realistic, but the faces are less expressive and more "stiff" now.

Overall a great game but I think ME2 might have been a tad better, still very close though.

What system did you play it on?

Don't hate :(

From what I've been hearing about Mass Effect 3, it seems I'll be sticking to EfU and wait till ME3 price drops.

I did not know that Vlaid! I do not feel, however, my galactic readiness should not be expressed by how many spawns I kill with other players. Nor should "Better endings" come with it either!

Both are expressively stupid ideas as a requisite for getting a fulfilling experience from the game.

I also detested the new 'delivery' system. You go to Reaper Controlled worlds and you come across, find relics, and you hand them over to some random Volus, Turian and more. It felt stupid and to much like DA2's sad attempt to incorporating more quests into their little fantasty world. It's a good game, but it felt like Dragon Age 2 at times rather than the Mass Effect experience.

That said, there -were- epic moments, and the Geth vs Quarian part of the campaign was simply stellar.

I loved it all. Just find myself with a whole lot of questions after having finished the single player campaign.

Also updated the thread name, be careful not to reveal anything that derive others the wonderful experience.

The ending is AN ATROCITY tacked onto an otherwise spectacular game.
