Game Crash

So, I have been crashing so much with my new laptop.  I have an ATI card and I have the shiney water thing off.  Sometimes, randomly it seems, textures will go WHITE or SHINEY metalic black color then that game will crash.  I can't figure it out.  If anyone has any ideas I would be more greatful!!

I suffered from this for literally years..exact same problem. Turn off shiney water, , shadows, and dynamic lighting.  Wind too, grass etc..anything you do not need.  It is a graphics card issue. Lessen the load on the card, and this problem will dissapear.  (Credit given to Germain, for figuring it out., I suffered for 4? Years. ..yes I am a technological impaired)

How old is the laptop/card?

ATI Mobolity Radeon 4200HD, I got it used from a friend so I'm not sure but I thin maybe a year?

None so far, only on NWN-EFU.

Turned dynamic lighting off all the way and it has yet to happen!! I think it was an issue when lighting changed and new shading was applied to certain objects.
