Fipya Treeprowler REALLY has better things to do...

Darkness washed over her as the pain ebbed from her small, broken body.  Fipya is dying... Fipya is failed...

She opened her eyes and stood alone and naked, whole once more.  What is...? she wondered, her eyes widening.

All around her, the Mists lay heavy over the land, soft vegetation underfoot.  She stepped forward, confused.

"There is no failure, little Guardian," came a voice from deep within the Mist.  "Time goes ever on and all play their part.  The cycle continues without you... you have earned a rest."

Fipya closed her eyes as the droning voice lent comfort to her, easing her apprehension.  But Shamans will need Fipya! the small hin protested.

"They will carry on without you and they will be fine.  You have worked to preserve the balance and move the cycle.  Look and see what has filled your life, and how it has filled others."

Fipya looked behind her as the Mists opened to reveal her past...

A smalll, wide eyed Chultan Ghostwise was prowling through the jungles on her first hunt when a blazing light filled her vision and brought her to the Stone, the name she gave to the ruins surrounding the Ziggurat.

The Ziggurat held many mysteries, and she explored many of them from within the uppermost chambers to the mysterious and ancient depths.

Despite the wonders of the Stone, it was not a place she was comfortable and she looked beyond the walls, into the jungles of Ymph for friendship.

Discovering the Circle of the Shamans and joining their number as a Guardian led to moments of beautiful introspection...

...and grand adventures...

As the images faded, the Mists closed, shrouding her view of the past... of her life.  The little hin turned around.

What is do now? she asked.

"It is time to walk the paths I have made for you in the afterlife, little Treeprowler.  The cycle will run on in Ymph but it is time for you to walk beyond the Mists."

She nodded and began to walk forward.  Is what is, she thought, as she disappeared into the Mists beyond.

-----------------------

The Mists carry her to the House of Nature, where she will continue to carry on the work of Ubtao in planes beyond the Prime.

I had a helluva lot of fun with little Fipya Treeprowler, it was a good run and I hope it was just as fun for many of you to associate with her as it was for me to associate with all of you.

I'd like to express sincere appreciation for the DMs who helped me to bring life into her.  Mort and Dangerous Dan for carrying the plots she was most involved in.  Calculor for lending his ear to me often.  All of the DMs who have at one time or another spiced up a quest or listened to any issues.

To the players of Fipya's allies:  ShiftingAllegiances brought her into the Stewards and from there sprang a lot of her development.  Adharmas for playing her partner in crime, they died together.  Plum for Nivik, Eq for Kelir, all of the Elves of the Ithilceau, Wind and RIP, and Snotty for John Black.

To the players of Fipya's enemies: Thank you.  You helped create a dynamic and tense atmosphere of play.  Despite frustrations on my end, without that paradigm, the game play would have been a bit flat.  All of you are class acts, in my opinion.  Winston and Thomas for SnL, Krunto/Zug for Francisco de Olid, and all that played his men.  Hats off to you.

To the blade that ended Fipya's walk on Ymph, no hard feelings.  It is the nature of the game and best of luck to your play.

There are plenty others who contributed greatly to the character's development; I'm not going to list every single EfU player, you can go to the member list for that.

I'm going to take a break for the holidays and will see all of you in 2009!  Happy Holidays, Happy New Year, see you all soon!

[20:20] <crump> nature's not outright trying to murder everyone there, it's playing gentle, lures everyone into a false sense of security. then it strikes. chicago's weather is the bdsm of nature systems

Fipya will be greatly missed.  She taught me a lot in the short time I knew her.

Thanks for that Jayde.....

Good luck with what ever comes next.

Very well played character.

"Is kill same as murder?"  lol
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whisky, and 14 karat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

"Maybe there's just one revolution.  The good guys against the bad guys.  The question is, who are the good guys?"
