Listen Skill and Whispering

I think if it could be implemented, it would be useful to those with an absurdly high skill who put points in it and wear items to boost it  Like, perhaps even increasing the range in which you can pick up whispers by 1 meter per 5 ranks or, talking by 5 meters per 5 ranks or something like that.  It would make more sense that someone with a 20 in listen can hear someone whispering across the square, though i don't know if it could be practically done.

You'd have to script in random external factors though as anything from an annoying bird crowing constantly to a large group of people talking in the square would be enough noise to cover most conversations, even if you were skilled at listening.

I've always hypothesized from experience that Listen affects the distance at which you can hear whispers by other players, if only marginally...

Probably not, though.
