I'd propose being Paralyzed (Hold person, Jelly Cube Paralysis, Assassin Vine Paralysis, etc...) and or feared immediately drops stealth on the target in question and reveals them to everyone in the area!

This is NOT a self-serving suggestion! :)

Fear is annoying as is. Worst mechanic in NwN, in my opinion. This would make it more annoying, but does make sense. As for hold person, though, it wouldn't necessarily negate someone's hiding spot, as the person isn't running away in terror, and indeed cannot make any sound at all, but a slight reduction in stealth may be fitting (they glow, perhaps?).

Yeah, I'll agree it's not self-serving what with you playing a stealther. Self-nerfing perhaps, Thomas ;).

I'm not sure now much I agree with it, but it's worth considering. It would be a pretty cool way to check for people spying on you, being very much in character to make them panic and break cover. It wouldn't be a game-breaker as using the harder to save Confusion has exactly the same effect right now. A Confused PC will almost inevitably drink a potion or attack someone, breaking stealth. If we're really going for it, Combust should reveal stealthers as it's hard to hide when you are on fire. BoM made a good point about not metaing information when pointing that a stealther exists, and there's no IG way to actually tag someone you spotted.

That said, the most broken stealthers are usually werecreatures and Druids with massive Will saves, so the usefulness of it is debatable. Also, getting paralyzed or feared is a fairly killer fate for a scout, already a risky thing on quests or for explorers. I've survived on PCs getting feared before as I got lucky and the others didn't notice me.
