Well it seems my computer decided to go crazy and blue screen on me, during a targus tournament of course! I've tried doing safe mode but that didn't work nor did system restore or repair so im going to have to wipe the computer. probably won't be able to make it back online for the war council, my apologies!

A blue screen is more often than not some hardware failure wiping the hard drive won't help in this case. If it was drivers it MIGHT. If the problem persists after the wipe write down what you see and google it to see what needs to be done.

That`s the biggest load of Rothe crap I have seen in order to find an excuse to chicken out of the Tournament.

It's happened before and I had to wipe it, because I tried reinstalling an old alcohol 120% trial version and it corrupted my video driver. Also I don't know if it helps but when I tried running safe mode it stopped at loading AVGsomething and just stayed there. I'm running a system wipe again but when I tried last night it kept black screening and nothing happening after it was rebooting and reinstalling the files for the C drive so I dunno.

I keep getting an error saying list index of bounds (1) now too but w/e I'll choose to ignore it and hope everything is k, what is a good free firewall?

Damien

And it's done it again, any one know what the problem could be? My computer just becomes unresponsive then when i restart it it does the loading windows bar then just goes to blackscreen. I already wiped and reinstalled the C drive but clearly that didn't work..

A couple of things I'd suggest checking into would be as follows I suppose.

  • Check into Overheating, enough said I suppose for anybody with a bit of tech know how, if not ask or google is your friend.
  • Cleaning out case of dust, cleaning pins on graphicscard and ram with a pen erasor and reseating ram and graphics (The main part would be the reseating).
  • Try running memtest 86 to see if your ram has any issues, not going to supply link, just google it.
  • Oh also run checkdisk, you might be installing things to a bad sector of the hdd and it doesn't like that. (easist place I can think of to find it off the top of my alchole infused head would be a windows xp cd recovery console typing in chkdsk with maybe a /r switch, but again you can always google or ask for alternatives.)
My bet would be on a harddrive issue, for some reason the tiny amount of information given sounds like it. (if it is checkdisk)

One last thing what version of windows were you running oh and maybe system specs could be helpful as well.

Hope things work out for you.

Eddie.
