Small suggestion that came from nowhere in particular. Might seem silly. But it sounded like a good idea at the tail end of being up 24 hours.

When players die on quests, or just in general in not guaranteed perma-death situations, there is this short period of time where the players stand around the body wondering blindly if the character is dead or not. Perhaps this could be remedied by having an option when talking to the Kelemvor servant that says something like "OOC: Refuse to respawn. This will mean your most recent death will be treated as you have died, rather than just having been grievously injured. Players will treat your body as if you have died and may raise you or not depending on the situation."

Which will then trigger some script at your body that's something like "[He's dead Jim]". That way players can immediately begin RPing as if you are dead without an awkward wait to see or asking in whispers ect.

Pass A Fist

I'd be willing to wager it would be used more often than not to expedite the stripping of the corpses valuables. But I'm rather pessimistic.

Considering the massive volume of wounds a person takes, I always RP assume they could be grievously injured and rush over to treat them medically, etc. Or you know.. check to see if they are alive.

This process take about as long as;
[tell] Me: It's safe Jim. You respawning?
[tell] Jim: He's dead.

I then RP him as dead, checking the next question...
[tell] Me: You don't have enough gold for a raise (or you do), do you still want to play him? Or perma?
[tell] Jim: Raise me bitch.

etc...
