Arch Rogue

A cleric of Mask masquerading initially as a priest of Waukeen, a facade he used to become elected as Mistlocke's first PC Mayor. Unfortunately for Mastro, early during his tenure war was foisted on him, and it ended up costing him the newly-won title prematurely (the penultimate goal for becoming Mayor was building a village bank of his own design, with gold amassed through political corruption, then waiting until the vaults filled up over time, before leading a heist and making away with prety much the entirety of the village's wealth).

During the interim though he had quietly built up a Church in Old Stones and excavated a hideout for his gang of thieves, where he retired to after a heist of the 30000 gold the Ilmateri had built that signified the unveiling of the Coinlord as the Benefactor. A deal was then struck with Viceroy d'Arthido and his Ruby army, in which Mastro would be handed back the Mayorship, as well as raised to the peerage in Old Port, which would open up the city to him - an important development, if he was to become Grandmaster of Shadows (high priest of Mask) for the region as he hoped to do. Alas, he was betrayed by someone he thought he had brought into the fold as he was resting, minutes before they were going to thwart a sabotage party led by Mistlocke's Warlord.

Even so, had lots of fun playing Mastro, and thanks to everyone involved in his story.

Some screens, though the best are still spoilerific...I may post them later, assuming involved PCs eventually die. More or less in chronological order:

Making promises he never intended to keep was a tactic Mastro used often to acquire support for his election campaign

Mastro could not resist the challenge of attaining the endorsement of another candidate for the position he sought; and doubly so, given he was a paladin

The Muster was a good source of information on which personalities in the village should be approached as the Benefactor and recruited

A chat with the Coinlord's loyal friend, right after being proclaimed as Lord-Mayor

A chat with Muskroot, also not long after Mayoral victory

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, a Church was being built by two partners in crime - one to run the underworld, and one to run the government

Just before a faitful raid on the Comital forces...

The aftermath, which ended in Mastro swearing an oath to himself never to be stupid enough to be caught on a battlefield again, ever

Meeting the Viceroy, albeit as his new prisoner of war

Neerix arrives, and offers peace, an opportunity Mastro takes to plant seeds of possible conversion

Over time, it seems I convince her, and she becomes a willing disciple...

...so I decided to tip her off about Vescovi's intentions of assassination, which may have saved her life, but in the process sealed Mastro's fate too!

Imploring a rival cleric to make his home elsewhere

A ritual, which an old friend decided to attend

...much to his chagrin

A mind labyrinthine

Quite simply amazing, and one that should have gone on longer than he did I think. (sorry) ;)

Aethereal

Amadeus knew more than he ever let on about this character (even from before the point of that screenshot!) , until his end, I guess. :P

Although the main mistake was thinking him the "Raven," rather than the "Benefactor," and that the two were the same, since he always thought Crale was a sorcerer!

In retrospect, perhaps if he was not so paranoid, they could have gotten along closer.

It is through Art, and through Art only, that we can realise our perfection.

TTH

One perfectly executed character and hopefully one of your many more to come

LiAlH4

Mastro was the sort of villain that made fighting the good fight worth it. Every interaction I had with him was superb, and the web of deception he wove was indeed worthy of Mask. :)

O Fortuna

Best character I've seen in a while. Props.

Kinslayer988

So many deceiving clerics these days.

I was a bit teary eyed when I saw the above.

Awesome character, once I knew the truth of it all it scared the crap out of me. Best Priest of Mask EVER!
