Dwarf Fortress is an INCREDIBLY fun game, albeit a very complicated one.  Many EFUers play it.  It is also free.

23:05    Barber    (I got the basics of my fort down, yesterday)
23:05    Barber    I continued to expand my defenses, where I would funnel an invading armies of goblins, giant bats and demons, into cages.
23:05    Barber    then move those cages into an arena and force them to fight to the death
23:05    Barber    then flood the arena with lava, to wipe out the winners
23:05    Barber    however, as I did t his, I accidentally forgot to make alcohol
23:05    Barber    so my ENTIRE fort went insane
23:05    Barber    and started strangling each other
23:05    Barber    as they had no weapons
23:06    Barber    except for 8 dwarves who were master miners
23:06    Barber    and with their picks... went mining for brains

23:08    Barber    the reason I lost focus on the alcohol production
23:08    Barber    is because a motherfucking DRAGON attacked my fort
