And you who play them.

Here's a link given to me ingame earlier by someone i can't recall. It contains a crapload of Tel'Quessir elven phrases and hopefully can be of some aid to you. Keep in mind however, that everyone else may not know the meaning of the specific phrase you are using, and learning all of the ones listed on the site IS going to take a while, if ever done at all. It is also a (even if i think it is sad) staff statement that languages are restricted to common. Not going to discuss that here, but it means that we don't use a crapload of phrases to become our convo and thereby alienate other players and potentially other elves. So guys.... use, but use sparingly.

Oh, and here's the link

That's good too. I always used this link, though it's a touch harder to navigate unless you know what you're looking for or use ctrl+f to search the page. Takes a bit more background knowledge on elven lore and society to really use this one to its full extent.

Let me take this one step further, mellonamin.

The complete common to elven and elven to common dictionary

It is through Art, and through Art only, that we can realise our perfection.

Aesthetically I really hate this stuff. Its jarring to me and I don't want to learn it. Those rare times I play an elf this will turn most interactions with other elves into a chore, even if used sparingly. It leads to strange IC consequences, as apparently my elf doesn't know "elven" because I OOC don't use a study guide. I hate it.

*edit: I don't think it adds anything to your PC either. You can be completely stuck up or graceful or whatever you are trying to get across in dialog/emote without it.

Another hater, represents. ...really dislike the language thing.  A word or two for flavor, perhaps..but it seems unnecessary if more then that.  It actually kept me from playing on other servers that embraced it. Dwarven, Elven, gnomish..whatever your preference.
