Enter key not working

The enter key is working fine outside of NWN but IG in order to start typing in the chat bar I have to actually click on it.

It's not a key-binding issue and I've tried alt+clicking around (a suggested fix I've already tried unsuccessfully). If I can't fix it a reinstall will probably correct the issue but I'd like to avoid having to do that.

Anyone ever had this kind of problem before?

Remapping a key to use instead of [enter] didn't work. :(
