Samual Blake- Master of the exotic Black Blade

The story.

Samual Blake was born and bred of old port, his family had never known another life. But he was no nobles son, he was born into a family that had nothing to its name. But he dared to dream to one day be more, and as he grew he strived to overcome the challenges that came his way. With a saying that would stay with him until death. Oldport men know only to overcome, never to fail.

By twenty two he had formed a company in oldport, working with various minor nobles. Trading companies, and even criminals. He had become known, liked, and even come to know love. Yet other qualities had also been bestowed on him. The arrogance of youth.

He believed he was ready, and more than able to take the mantle of the most prestigious fighters old port had to offer. The rubies of oldport. Challenging one in a duel, he failed, and before all his friends, family and even his employers he was brutally beaten and further humiliated.

Yet his blood boiled and on broken legs he stood once more and made a solemn vow.

I shall return, and when I do I shall take your armor for my own and join your ranks.

The idea behind the entire concept of Blake was to have a story. I allowed other peoples stories to improve my own and worked towards an end gold. Which would either conclude blakes tale or simple start a new chapter.


Blake fought many men, in spar and tournaments. This was the first one he took part in and ended up fourth.



for a long time he kept his tale a secret, not knowing how people would take it. In the end however he decided people deserved to know, and so his story was told.




While hunting for the werewolf with the order. he encoutered many things, mist ogres, and of course, a bloody huge bear.




His adventures did not end here however, he soon formed a friendship which would keep him on track. A friend till the end, samual biggest regret was not following him into the underdark. The mans name? Adrian



After this adventure, the dreamer rewarded blake with the exotic black blade. The blade that they said he would fight the ruby of oldport with. Live or die? They did not know, for the future is a fickle thing. This however only infused samual with a need to know more of the mist. On numerous occassions he desired to know more, to bring others with him to seek out the heart. Noone ever decided to come, so he went alone.



and he did infact make it to the heart.



What did the mist say? well some secrets are taken to the grave.

But what is this crown? and the old king? Was Samual infact a traitor to the count? Some people know some aspects of the truth IG. But the real story dies with Samual.


But, what else made Samual who he was, well Samual was infact faithless, while he paid lip service to all gods for blessings, he never dedicated himself to any. But he came close, very close to turning his back on law, and order. After seeing the might and dedication of the old netherese warriors in their final moments. Out numbered and with no escape they fought to the last man.



This lead samual to seek out the warden, on numerous occassions heading below with order templars and others in hopes he could find the remains of the man that could inspire such dedication.


He also met the shell of h'bala but was not nearly stupid enough to aid her.


The whisper was also a big target on Samual list, and they encountered each other twice, but his agents often appeared on the odd orcs quest to ambush samual.





Of course what would a screenshot thread be without some loot? well I only have one screenshot and it took alot to get this. I must thank mort  for such an excellent adventure, and more importantly, a damn sexy piece of chains i will likely never have the pleasure of seeing or owning again.



and finnaly.

Where is he now? Well, he rests with other numerous heroes of the isle, within the belly of this beast.

Samual and Adrian had many a fine adventure together.  A shame he died, but he died doing something heroic!

loved being part of Blakes black blades even for a short time didn't know ya very well but sure did love the times i did play along. Grand character Blake was, best of luck to the new one.

Your characters always rock, Samuel was no exception.

Samual was a cool character and Karrin liked him right up to their fatal disagreement. Even after it, she still considered him one of the toughest bast... um... around, which probably explains why she took the disagreement so seriously.

Durn that beholder anyway, hope it swallowed Samual the wrong way and got indigestion from him! >.<
