Egon the Monkey

This summon is a joke, as it's immobile and can be defeated by a player taking a step back, or by a monster that decides to ignore it or move round to attack someone else. Giving it a weak Spit attack that's reasonable for a L1 summon would make it actually useful rather than only good for a round or two.

True Seeing + mobility / Spit-attack is a level I summon that lasts 3 rounds/ level unextended as infallible detection. No thanks.

You can detect people with a L2 summon and up anyway. It's immobility makes it useless as anything but a speedbump. If making it actually capable of hitting something is OP, then perhaps give it some kind of aura to allow it to mess with stuff that's not next to it. Playing an ooze cleric a while back, I never got round to mentioning this. The rest of the theme's pretty good but it was hard to get a good "horde" effect going on because the L1 summons don't move.

Yes, they can detect stealthers within a 60 foot radius, but they only reveal their presence, weak L1 summons don't stop them escaping or let you target them. It's nice to have something you can use to prevent stealth laming when you know they're there, but I'd trade that off for a useful L1 summon. You can't even use it to set off traps.

Nuclear Catastrophe

The fact it cannot move is entirely intentional, Egon.  Work around it.
