This sounds quite awesome, actually. You shoud do it.

Quote from: DangerousDan;224501On another note, I'd also question people who are crying about slavery in a setting where to most people it would be second nature, or at least accepted as part of the status quo.

Since I'm not the most up to date on FR lore, I think what would be really useful for improving RP would be a list of nations in the setting where slavery is considered normal, ones where it's tolerated, and ones where it's seen as barbaric. It might be accepted by Old Port citizens, but not by portal victims from places where it's criminal.

@ The Old Hack.
One of my PCs once ended up with a slave he didn't really want, but bought as a favour to a friend, with the aim of conspiring to have her freed. It was a great plot, I'd got this PC working for me and trying to take down another character who was both a wanted man and a personal enemy to my own guy. That was so I could provide a list of reasons why she'd be better freed to be my bodyguard. I was also plotting ways to influence the character to be more independent, and trying to subtly explain to my mostly good/chaotic/wilderness allies why the hell I had a slave, without blowing up my conspiracy.

I think Dan might have meant that in an OOC sense.

Gwydion

I'd hate to see you play your PC less because you do a great job with her.

A possible solution would have been for your PC to give the slave to a good aligned cleric or paladin with the understanding that they would free them at sometime.

Keep on rocking!

It's ok, knowing thomas he will be dead before march. Nothing to worry about.

Spiffy Has

I find this offensive. I am a genuinely amazing player and I dfon't intend to die anytime soon!

As for you douche bags who doubt my amazing talent, I have nothing good to say of you for doubting me in such a cold and brazen manner!

It's okay, Spiffy. Sometimes characters die quickly, and sometimes those characters tend to have belonged to certain players. Like you and me (or RWG). :P
