A chance to escape mobs through transitions?

Currently, if you're on the run from a monster, you often have no choice but to stay in the area because Monsters Don't Have Load Times. If you enter a new area, the load time after the transition erodes any lead you have, and the monster subsequently ganks you. This got me killed on a quest when I "stupidly" tried to escape out a monster-filled area to a cleared one, and forgot I'd lose the head start. Is there any way to fix this?

I think it might be possible to add a delay. But with various PCs being able to load at varied times, I can't help but wonder if adding a delay won't be exploitable. If it's too short or if people take really long times to load transits, it wont make any difference, but if people load before the delay, they can easily gain much more ground than they already had.


it sucks the way it is, but messing with it would be too hard to find a balance, tbh.
