Custom-Scripted traps?

Given the recent commotion about Traps and PvP, I started thinking that Having set trap is a great skill, but one that is not given a lot of leeway in EFU in terms of RP.

In PvP, sure, traps work wonders if you find yourself in that rare situation where it plays out. RP wise though it's kind of a one trick pony.

I've seen a few rare occasions in which barrels of alchemist fire were rigged for detonation on a DM quest using set trap but it got me wondering. With all the pursuits and scripting wonders done lately with spells and otherwise is there even a feasible way to create new styles and tricks of traps that could be used by DMs and PCs alike?

if so, a few rough ideas:

Damage done ranges with strength of trap, but also the area of effect of PCs involved

Higher strength could be a tar more susceptible to flame and more vulnerability to it.

Naturally more RP instances of Set Trap skill put to use would be grand. Just a few off the top of the head suggestions but just an area that would be cool to improve if scripting for it existed.

Really good idea, like the trap would spawn insect swarms, stronger ones based on the trap. And im sure this could be done like the alchemy thing, but alot of work would have to go into this on the DMS side.

By the same token though it'd be nice to have some kind of crafting or more uses for engineering.
 
If it's custom traps we're looking at though, i'd like spike traps that cast spiked growth, traps that cast Balagarns Iron Horn, etc.
