Remove some quest repeat limits

I don't know how many quests have repeat limits, but I know most if not all of the 2-3, 2-4 combat quests except maybe Lost Girl do. It can really hose you if you get deleveled to 2 or 3, especially on a frontliner char who can't really sneak along at the back just gathering EXP on say Ghouls or Trogs. Making just, say bug tower repeatable because spamming it would only give basic supplies, not money. That would not lead to the same trouble as some old UD quests being spammed (Eyeballs, really) that I presume caused this policy of locking repeat questing.

I disagree, if you lose levels. Suck it up. If you want to grind your way up to pwn, go play WoW. if you want to use your loss of strength as an opportunity to ask your friends to help you. And actually stimulate RP. Stick around. You might learn something.

I think his point is that you can't regain those lost levels if you can't repeat quests.

If you die, and must repeat Lost Girl over and over and over again--I can't imagine its fun. That said, I wasn't even aware that many quests couldn't be repeated, or any for that matter.

The quests that can't be repeated too many times are those with potentially big payouts, in both gold and consumables. E.g. Chamber of the Marching Dead, and the Hanging Goblin Basement Clearance.

What's this about not being able to repeat quests? That's kind of silly, innit?

I believe the quests with limits have area names prefixed with SQA.  I'm not sure about that, though.

There are many 2-6 quests on Ymph, which there weren't too many of back in the Underdark (they tended to be 3-6 or 3-7, if I remember it correctly).  This gives an opportunity for de-leveled characters to get help from their friends, and it only takes a couple quests in this range to get you back up to level 4.

I'll agree it's not hard for chars with a faction to back them up (I know from experience on Labur that having a couple of the Hammers logged saved my ass before) or backliners.

But a frontliner who gets, say spiderpwned in the Woods is pretty much hosed. No potions, no way to get them. Yes, you could scrounge up enough for darts and go as a backliner. As I mentioned, I do know of the 2-6 quests, but it really sucks to be a deleveled frontliner there, you can be turned down for being likely to just die.

Hmm. To me, having a smaller variety of possible quests to do *is* grind. Especially as some of the more interesting RP challenges (at least to me) are exploring, duels, etc, which you cannot really do without some levels and supplies.

Basically this only really applies to fighters, barbs or rangers who get kicked to lvl 2-3 in wilderness or after burning all their consumables trying not to die. But, having played one, it IS a huge pain in the rear compared to say, my Wizard who could just get away with buffing, hanging way out of range and not asking for anything really at the end of the quest.

VauntedSpirit

Having recently been deleveled down to the lower tier, I can honestly say I'm finding it much easier to gather consumables and gold, on the second time around.

I prefer variety, and limits on repeating quests reduces variety.  If the reason you can't repeat them is because they're very generous with XP/loot, then I would vote for lowering XP/loot before I'd vote for limiting how often you can repeat it.  More quests not less is ALWAYS good for the server, both in terms of RP and in retaining players.
