Orc archers targeting you when you're bleeding out, might this be changed?

I suppose it can be argued that they would shoot you to make sure you were down, but if that's the case, why wouldn't they continue to shoot you when you're dead.  Just to make sure?

Anyway, might be a feature, but it's just a thought.  Not having time to be saved because you get shot to negs and then shot for death isn't a great time.

That has to do with firearms, shooting a bow or crossbow is worlds of difference away as far as speed is concerned. (exception for smoothbore/muzzle-loaders).

Personally as an ooc thing it is bothersome. However it should be standard so either everything should be allowed to hit you again while you are down or none of the enemies should.

Personally, I agree that if an orc or anything else sees a downed target, they should target something more threatening, such as the wizard casting fireballs at them.  If they have no other viable target, well, then you become a pin cushion.

Makes sense to me that they target you while down; the orcs don't want to let you heal up, just like you don't probably want to leave a batch of half dead orcs about instead of just killing a few. At least in most "I'm gonna kill you, foul orcs!" situations. Tactically, they would be pretty stupid to not finish the job.

Without the targeting while bleeding out, though, I got really lucky once: respawned, was hit, bleed out for about three turns, recouped, then recouped once more, grabbed my stuff, improved expertise, cure serious wounds potion, return to improved expertise, and then I battled down a worn out undead mageling alone. Was really cool.
