Bilby's loot aside, I'm at a real loss here. I play a pure rogue without UMD, and is chaotic good. While there is a ton of good stuff for good stuff out there for rogues, my own particular set-up leaves me with few choices for rogue gear. From Bilby's I've also gotten two maces, a hammer I can't use, and ten potions of invisibility, and only the potions were both of use to me and able to be used by me...

My point is, maybe I'm just unlucky, but it seems that there is really nothing for a pure, non-UMD rogue in terms of gear useful to rogues. I've gone on a wide variety of quests and been looking specifically for hide/MS/Open Lock/Disable trap gear but so far have only been able to find one item, for sale at a merchant (so while I'm a relatively high level rogue, I'm kind of sucking right now as far as being a rogue goes). I'd be grateful if more items could be added that us non-evil rogues (how few there are) could use.

(Skip the comments about 'Just get UMD, nub!' I don't want to, there are other far more important rogue skills to get.)

I suggest you keep at it. There are quite a few items that buff rogue skills. Locks and traps especially, and that's beyond Bilby's stuff. My last rogue was actually the first time I got something from Bilby, the rest I've found other places or bought off other characters.

Thing you have to remember is that when rogues get good stuff, they really hoard it. Also, I've seen that a lot of questing groups tend to abandon the things they can't use. So they don't really get into circulation among the player base. Instead they are left on the ground to go poof and limbo.

Still, the stuffs out there. Just have to keep at it. While UMD is pretty sweet, you don't need it.

I fully agree that non-evil rogue/sneaky gear is far short of Evil stuff. The kobold trap amulet, the Fiendish outfits etc. There is plenty of rogue-useful gear about, some of quests you wouldn't expect it on. There's enough in fact that my PC, Whiskey Bill, a non-evil Wizard has been able to acquire a good trapbusting set.

I agree with OP, rogues need some help in the item department. If there were half as much rogue gear floating around as there is ranger gear, it wouldn't be a problem.

It is a well known fact that whatever class you make your PC, you will always find loot for the other classes.  Rogues have access to enough junk as to make them more than just playable, and though I am not the most technical savvy player here, I remember when you logged in and at least half the PC's IG had rogue levels.  I also know that a pure rogue can easily get by with the available loot.  IF you get tired of playing a rogue, you might want to try a monk as monk gear just lays around everywhere for the taking.
But seriously, the stuff is out there, just stick it out.

I don't think rogue gear is so much of a problem- I think you may just be really unlucky. :( I didn't have much of a problem with my last rogue's loot.

However, in the interest of being more helpful, I might suggest rocking out with your rogue. You're a good player, and I don't think you'd have much trouble making your rogue cool and noticable, (I mean hell, it's a rogue, everyone notices how badass rogues are,) so try and do proactive stuff and bother the DMs so they have to oversee it. Eventually they might give you some nice personalized rogue loot in the hopes that you'll keep being awesome but stop bothering them with incessant tells. :P

Looking around a bit more, I'm seeing plenty of items useful in rogue skills. Specifically I recently managed to find some nice +3 set trap/+4 disable trap gear (or was it the other way around? *shrug*) which is really useful to me, on top of some nice gloves... But I am noticing that almost all the stealth gear is either evil only or ranger, or for some other class. I'd just like to see more stealth gear for non-evil rogues, is all, everything else seems fine, actually.

You managed to find those gloves?  really?  really?

There's heaps. Y'all trippin'.

There is so much stealth gear it is nearly ridiculous and that's not evil only loot mind you. Also there is a way to get past the evil only restrictions and rogues are one of the classes that have a chance to do so.

For the other stuff you may need, well, as you said you found those gloves. How many other classes get loot with +3/+4 skill bonuses on it regulary?

In my oppinion rogue loot is good as it is. The class could maybe use another perk to fit it, but other than that I think they are fine when played correctly.

Just open your eyes and look more. Or maybe do some quests you don't do often.

Rogues have some of the most insane gear on the server. They defenatly imo do not need any more.
