The Broterhood of the Shining Hand is a Monastic Order of some prominence in and around Amn as well as other regions as they were driven out. As an Azuthan order it emphasises heavily on the notions of Magical responsiility but also the proliferation of the craft to the public. Magic is a gift and a blessing, with Wizards and others of the Weaving Deities their stewards and guides the the fantastic and mystical.

Fantastic and Mystical can be just the same hazardous and dangerous in the reckless or irresponsible hand they pursue dangerous wizards, Sorcerors, Creatures, and other counterparts who irresponsibly weave beyond the pale.

The Deity for this faction is not limited to Azuth at all in any way, but there is philosophic leanings and the Mission is supremely Azuthan. (And yes, I'll admit, an Azuthan may get more respect for such pursuits).

As EFU is not "Monk Order" friendly however I'm hoping to expand and twist this notion, and raise it to an Open for All, Free for all, style PC faction. More of a Philosophical pursuit and ideal, a binding tie to bring all men and women together who wish to aid.

Any Class. Any Faith. Any Race. Any Deity. The fun part of a made up philosophy is it can easily be adjusted to fit IC settings so I am fairly confident any and every PC with interest could find place within this faction.

The Mission

The Weave is life. It is in and around us in all aspects but one that feasts upon impurities. The elements, the planes, even life and death itself. With such ultimate power at the fingertips of many it draws out the very worst of exsistence, so it is our desire and mission to prove to be The best. And in our rise to perfection, to have both the wisdom and ability, we become the conduits of woven life. Aspects of each weaving pursued, studied, understood. Through logic we can understand ourselves, the weave, and life itself.

The Fun stuff

Ultimate Power is the goal of so many wizards, and as a result this drives forth dangerous experiments and even more dangerous acts upon the people.

The Brotherhood of the Shining Hand will be in pursuit of these very things: Products of irrisponsible wizardry and dangerous threats to the people from magical beings and creatures.

Nightrisers
Demons
Devils
Lycanthropes
Interloping Planar Creatures (Tiefling, Aasimar, etc)

They. Those that work with they. They will be hunted. They will be investigated. They shall be both the reason the Weave must be stewarded and the weave respected and balanced.

If they are deemed irresponsible they will be pursued beyond the law itself. If they are not then they shall be conscripted to aid in service hunting others of their ilk.

Those who irresponsibly abuse the weave shall feel the brunt of its power.

Those who bear responsibility respect and spread the weave shall be protected and flourish.

The Really Fun stuff:

Wizards and the like are often threats, but at the same time they are also in strange, exotic places.

It is my hope to visit and pursue those strange and exotic places.

Since people keep asking: This is not the kind of faction that would limit your presence in other factions. It's more of a philosophic crusade and ideal goal.

Quite literally anyone can join, even folks in other factions.
