I don't know why they were removed, honestly.

I don't know why the DMs thought it would be best to close the faction.

But I have to disagree with their reasoning here. The headhunter's of belpharon were scary.

They were frightening.

And they served a purpose to keep the populace in fear of the Nightrisers.

They were a purely antagonistic faction. There to scare the hell out of players and nPCs alike. They rarely FDed players. They never took gold.

But they were scary nonetheless. The sight of PC nightrisers charging out of the hallowed halls of the ruins were enough to set my hands to shaking, and go, "OH Fuck!"

They were monsters. THEY WERE THE RISEN. Please, they fitted perfectly in the setting I believe, and I want them back.

Relinquish

Too spoilerific information available to them? I also think they were -really- boring because people just stopped going where they could pvp.

DeputyCool

This faction did not do the things we wanted it to do, and did a lot of things we didn't want it to do.

No interest in seeing them returned.

Paha

It lived it's life giving a plenty of excitement and story in it's time.

However it's lifespan has run it's course.

The headhunter's head was removed to prevent respawn and raises.

They finished their goal and reaped the reward. No coming back.

Mort

Yeah, there is no reason for them to be back as a player faction, but they are still there, at least a few of them, and they are still reachable to some adventurers.
