The Canticles of the Righteous are a gift from the divine. Originally written by the Arch-Angel Dimineira, they soon grew to be a focal point to any god of the goodly realm seeking to promote prosperity and faith in which their faithful lived under. The song is an invested gift from the divine gods themselves and are only granted to those who have proven their worth in the eyes of the Just and Holy.

All the gods whose are identified with the 'good' axis of the realm have a verse, some more than others. The Triad in particular are known for having multiple stanza's in the Canticle. Deities such as Hoar, Helm, Kelemvor, also have a verse in the Canticles, The Verse of Vigilance, the Verse of Irony, and the verse of death are also studied and used to inspire the goodly forces in this realm to battle. The Canticles are a gift from the gods themselves, and are thus subject to divine scrutiny if the wielder of the Chant of the Righteous has abused the powers thus given.

It is said that it was Milil who inspired Dimineira to write the Canticles, and he is given his verse within the Canticle. It is the Canticle of Holy Verse, and often used in religious sermons and performances to celebrate a holiday and occasion. The verse is to inspire other poets to learn of the Canticles themselves, and use them to spread the goodly faiths across the realms.

Ilmater invested more than most in this Chant of the Righteous. Whatever the verse, his light shall beckon through to heal the wounds of the innocent and lift the burden from their souls. The Light of Ilmater shines upon those who are granted by the gods the power of this song, and are charged to ease the suffering of others whenever possible. The Song of the Chanter is often welcomed in all places of healing across the realms for its power to lift the spirits and heal wounds with ease, as long as those listening are within earshot, that is.

The Righteous Canticles are ever growing, as heroes come and go. Those of righteous intent and sacrifice shall forever be blessed, and given the honor of the possibility of their verse be adding to the Canticles. it is the duty of the Chanticleer's who write, and perform the chant to note those who are worthy of it and add their name in verse. So no hero goes forgotten in these realms.[/font][/size]

"I stand Forever Vigilant.
Against those deeds reminiscent.
Of an earlier, chaotic time.
Here, I shall prevent a further crime.

My loved was lost in chaos.
Pragmatism and logic.
It was a fateful toss.
And it ended tragic.

So here I stand.
Forever vigilant, forever patient.
Against those who would allow chaos to expand.
Here, I shall make law's embrace my soul advancement.

I do not stand for Tyranny.
I stand for simply order.
Against those thieves and of Piracy.
To ensure a safer, more welcoming tomorrow.

Faith, vigilance, and service.

Never falter or do disservice.

Lathander's Chant

Blessed be the Dawn
I wake with a great yawn.
An expression that soon passes into a smile.
It will be a new day, it's been awhile.

Youthful features youthful exuberance.
Sometimes I need to be reminded of temperance.
It's hard not to grin as they scold me.
As I come up with my next Mischevious deed.

I can run faster than any other.
Sometimes my friends never bother.
Athletics have always been the greatest sport.
Now, I better get started with this dull report

Onto more serious beliefs.
Mine are akin to a newly grown leaf.
Young and full of life
Without the Cynics Strife.

A solemn walk through quiet forest.
brings a simple smile to my features.
Wandering through Silvanus' peaceful creatures.
