There have been times in the three or so years of EFU/EFU:A where things have seemed a little slow to me.

That is not the case at the moment.

I just spent a few hours DM'ing and I have to say I am kind of genuinely impressed.

There are a variety of pretty awesome characters and groups hanging around right now, and I think it is great. There are some interesting stories being told. People's attitudes seem good to me. I don't have huge amounts of time these days but when I log in to DM for a bit I do not regret it.

I like that there are a bunch of different groups that are in opposition yet not  exclusively engaged in outright PvP all the time, but that there is some subtlety and nuance going on. Practically everywhere I look - nature, the Docks, the Conclave, the Stygians, mercenary groups, evil groups, good groups - there are stories and characters that I enjoy.

As always there's room for improvement, and I think we need to get better at hooking in new players, and I think people have been slipping a bit in terms of not really roleplaying when they are doing scripted quests (which is understandable, I realize), but in general - I have to say, keep up the good work EFU:A playerbase!

Howland, you've only to thank yourself and the other DMs.

Excellent work, everyone. I was in for a little bit today, and there was a lot going on with even 10 players about. Good job.

I spent a good couple of hours playing today; honestly had the best time playing on here than I have for a long time. Awesome job guys.

I was going to start my own thread, but I'm going to piggyback onto this one.

It's been quite a while since I've been able to put time into DM'ing here, basically the very beginning of the Ziggurat days. Quite the dynamic change I've stumbled into here!

But really... things seem better than ever, even compared to what I'd consider the glory days of EFU. Conflict is ripe, and the characters are rich. Everyone seems to have an agenda, angle, and interesting personal perspective to interject on a great deal of situations.

Keep up the awesome.
