For those who have difficulty running the 1.69 tilesets decently, I found this whilst browsing the Vault. Hope this helps with performance!

What a cool and helpful thing, DangerousDan. Nice work!

TheImpossibleDream

Has anyone tested this to see if it removes those strange freezes about the wilds/docks?

Ebok

NOt everyone freezes in the same places TID

TheImpossibleDream

In the past chasing/following folk through certain areas I've noticed others stop for a moment ahead of me and then continue, when I arrive in the same location I freeze for a brief moment the same for anybody else nearby. >_>

Sorry, I don't know what this means or if I need it...
I think mine runs fine, but I do get some lag and what-not.

This, I'm hoping, will fix the problem as described by ImpossibleDream.

Essentially, there are a number of points that cause your game to freeze for -long- periods of time. Enough to get you killed or make certain areas so difficult to navigate it is simply easier to avoid them.... Docks and Sloped road have always been two that have plagued me in particular.

Caddies

The Docks is the best way to test this fix.

Works -very- well. I run on a high-end system and those little bits of choppiness and FPS drop have almost completely faded away now in those specific areas where they happened before.

Sticky IMO

I usually froze up pretty hard while horses entered my field of view, particularly things like the Longest Night boss, but this helped out mega amount. woop

I still freeze a little in the Sloped Road, but I guess my machine is just super buggy. Otherwise, though, great!

Modern bots are so awesome.
