In a civilized world, Bloodborn Casting is seen as a menace to some and a gift to others. When it manifests in a young person it can be tamed and focused allowing them to live productive and healthy lives. When it manifests in an older person though there is unseen consequence that turn into harsh and horrifying reality. Stories of men and women being detonated in streets by an untrained Bloodborn is commonplace.

The Transcendant Conclave has taken special interest in these casters, some saying even one of their Master-Rank leaders has learned to harness talent in such a way to make life productive.

Others speak of gruesome experimentation and torture, as means of shaping tools of war of these once normal people.

The common misconception is that all wizards are power-starved megalomanical fiends seeking to sell their soul, or even their mother's, in the pursuit of power. Truth be told it is far more common for cloisters, cabals, and gatherings of the minds to take place. Each wizard brings a unique perspective to the fold and powers of their own. Together they advance as a whole.

A Fledgling learns from an Apprentice whom learns from a master. A cycle of magic that has long spread through out the realms and the Transcendant Conclave is no different. Thayan, Local, Exotic, and magi from beyond the realms have assembled to advance themselves and the weavings.

It is only natural for them to pursue the young, nubile minds of the colony with tempting offers of research, power, and alliance.

Magic is a funny thing in EFU. Its left open to PC interpretation in a lot of ways and I've always been welcoming of that.

Sorcerers and Wizards have a special place in the conclave, and since its rise there have been quite a few who both allied with and against the faction.

I am hoping to put together two separate but equally awesome groups of PC folks with some binding ties to the conclave. Sorcerors in particular but Wizards as well, this could be a cool way for your character to get involved in magical research, meddling plots, and some very creepy and interesting PC interactions.

You do not have to have desire to join the conclave, nor do you have to be particularly liking of them, especially since conflict is always pleasant in EFU!

Any race, any level, any alignment, any specialization of school or wizardly pursuits.

Sorcerers and Wizards welcomed but Bards may as well be in certain cases.

Simply have an interest in some good ol' fashion RP and conflict.

Shameless self promotion aside, we've got a good group of PC's pursuing all kinds of research oriented plots. Sorcs, Wiz, or otherwise welcomed if willing to partake or assist in shady research!

There is an opening for some part time characters who are low level sorcerer's.  Especially such characters that don't fully understand or can't control their powers.  Mental instability and a willingness to submit to scientific research is a bonus.
