Amazons of Ruu

On the faraway and little known isle of Ruu, a disease has wiped out most of the indigenous male population. Nearly all of them gone, worries over the survival of the various tribes has sparked all out conflict for the sake of claiming the few surviving men, their most precious resource. Some of the tribes have corrupted themselves by coupling with the indigenous orc populations, and others have resorted to the dark arts to keep their numbers strong, but a few have remained faithful to Shiallia and kept to the old ways.

Plucked from the wartorn isle of Ruu, these survivors find themselves in a land rich with magic, steel, and men. Faced with such abundance, they have but one plan; take what they can from Ymph and somehow get it back to Ruu to end the Great Wars.

To be a good candidate for this blooming group, your PC should more or less meet the following requirements:

Human, Female (Males are possible but they should be definately be demure and subserviant)
Neutral - Chaotic Aligned (NG, TN, NE, CG, CN, or CE)
Tribal PC preferred, Isle of Ruu native preferred even moreso
An OOC love of conflict

A cool idea but I don't see why the men would be subservient, if they are so important to the tribes wouldn't that allow them to be honored?

I think it's an awsome idea. But IMO NO MALES at all.

I'd love to do this, but I'm already playing a character.

However, just to offer some suggestions on the male issue:

1.  Even an all female tribe needs men for breeding purposes.

2.  Men would obviously hold a lower social standing than women.

3.  The women likely do not settle down in a monogamous relationship with one man, but rather have multiple men and likely "share" those other men with other females she is close with - or the entire tribe.

4.  You need a way to integrate male PC's into the tribe who do not start off as members of the tribe.  You also need to account for the fact that the tribe is made up of mostly women.  As a result, create some sort of proving challenge for men.  

If a male child is born as he begins to reach adulthood (say either 13 or 16 years of age) he is sent on some proving challenge.  Most boys die on this coming of age challenge, but those that do not come back men and are allowed to remain among the tribe.  Men who refuse to do the challenge are exiled.  

PC males who want to join the tribe should have to perform the challenge.  Just have the PC female tribal elders come up with a random task suited to each individual PC.  It could range from, "Return with five high quality jungle cat pelts" to "Defeat Shambala Mancrusher in hand to hand combat."

Amazons of Ruu has now gone tribal, having officially been kicked out of the Ziggurat for delivering the awesome. For anyone who appreciates the additional challenge or wants to try out a true nature PC, do look us up.

Many thanks to the awesome suggestions. Unfortunately, they are not quite what we had in mind. Perhaps they might be suited better to a different faction in the future?
