Elytherin's big portrait pack

Ok so here was the idea,

Make a single file that contains as close to all portraits that are used.

Reason:

I got tired of not seeing peoples portraits because i was missing ALOT of them, so i scrounged and hunted and found quite a few,

There are over 1000 portraits in this pack, compressed its worth over 400mb uncompressed its over 1gig.

Now it isnt 100% omplete, there are still quite a few i dont have (all but 4 of the player portraits have been included and have been cut to the correct sizes for the portraits in the case of the large sized ones) of the 4 that are missing, 2 the links didnt work and 2 were added after the file was sent off

Now what i would do is uncompress the file and copy your own portraits from your portraits folder into the new one. This ensures that all your old portraits are there as well as the new ones.

There are many portraits that im sure you wont have but for alot of people there will be many they do have, Also there are a few cases of doubles simply because the names are different but the images are the same, For this i am sorry, i only noticed after i sent the file off and i wasnt going to spend another 6 hours uploading the same modified file, sorry guys you will either have to make do or fix it yourself :S


Lastly, if you find any portraits in this pack that i havent added, i would greatly appreciate it if you could upload them and i will make a booster portrait pack out of them.

Last time I installed a portrait so huge, my nwn froze solid in the portrait section for a good 2 minutes...

I would install it but Im scared.

There is a finite number of portraits that NWN can handle, I'm not sure what the exact number is, though I know it's very close to 2500 portraits. I'm currently at about 2507 and I know if you have much more than that, NWN just can't handle it.

Even at 2507 it takes a few moments for my rig to load all the images.

Sad thing is, that's only the portraits I actually have in my portraits folder. I easily have near 5,500 portraits total. So it's kind of impossible to have one pack with everything :(

very true and i knew that, what id like to see is a standard set of additional portraits, (easily available for some one just getting into efu without having to trall through terrabytes of internet just to get their hands on some of the most commonly used portraits.

i know i shouldnt but when im playing i take into account a haracters bio and their portrait, that helps me RP initial reactions and get a feel for how their character will act.

nothing makes me feel robbed and cheated then looking at some ones portraits only to see "generic shadowy guy #1"

i guess what i meen is, it would be nice to have a set of the most commonly used additional portraits available and the character portraits kept current

but i know its not likely to happen :(
