What gaming mouse do you use?

I'm a FPS player and play better with and prefer wireless mice. The DPI options are useless to me as I use an out of game app combined with a programmed mouse button to slow it down for steady shots if I need. When I release the mouse button it returns to normal speed. No need to use those awkwardly placed + - buttons. And yes I know you can potentially reprogram other buttons for this purpose, but I have a purpose for the other buttons already.

Additionally the cord on wired mice constantly gets in the way when I have to make big sweeping motions (not often, but often enough) since I typically set the mouse sensitivity to the lowest setting in games. Wireless is the route for me.

Plus a great deal of wired mice don't have enough buttons on them for me.

Real men use these : Logitech force 3d Pro

Just use a mouse that's comfortable for you and does what you need it to do.

I hate to use THIS as an example to back my claim, but I'll refer to Korean pro-Starcraft players.  There is no standard there.  Everyone uses their own personal keyboard, mouse, and mousepad which they take with them everywhere they go to play.  Most do use corded mice, true, but one of the reasons for that is because you aren't allowed to install drivers on the competition machines which is sometimes necessary for those wireless mice to work (moreso than the corded type, at least).  You'll see both big mice and small mice, both ball mice and digital mice, and both optical mice and laser mice.

No, Strife, that's BS. There is no middle ground when it comes to best performance. There is only joystick.

Lulzebub

I have this jacked-up optical mouse that came with the computer and has this funny habit of tracking off to the left when not in use. It seems to work fine most of the time.

Razer Copperhead myself.... though I'm a bit of a Razer fanboy... Razer Lycosa Keyboard... Razer Barracuda soundcard and headset... Though the Copperhead is showing its age, and so I'll probably replace it with a newer razer soon (Especially since the Copperhead was later proven to be less accurate than numerous other mice... though they changed that with the DeathAdder).

I've been generally happy with my Razer mice though...

Real men use touchpads.

What strife said is true. What mouse fits you and feels most comfortable - it's the best one for you. Mouse doesn't make a player, even if it as a tool may aid a good player more than lousier mouse.

Tankerman

I play on a laptop. And yes, occassionally I do play with touchpad (Even did Orcs once with Gudstaf on the touchpad). As for which kind of mouse: A lousy kind.
