Evil quests and/or Fable-like duality

All quests i know of are "good" quests. You rescue someone, find someitng for somone, aid in the defence of a city or pillage some random humanoids (wich would be evil if D&D didn't say that as long as what you kill is evil, you can commit genoside and be good),

If one had a really badass mercenary character and wants to show he has no ethics or morale, probably the only way to do so is getting him to raise undead and/or kill a good PC. There are no quests only an evil character would do.

I would like future quests that will be added to the module to be evil. "Go pillage that small human camp to scare off the leader of the exabation" or "Kidnap that girl so we can ask for a randsom", etc.

Additng the option to do "Evil version" of actual quests fable-like, Instead of "Go destroy the evil creatures that plague the mourtuary" you can say "Kill the guardians so i can desacrate the mourtuary and steal that evil necromantic device". The quest giver should be diferent, and the enemeies should be as well, instead of finding mumuies we can find "Crypt guardians" wich are the same but with good alingment and maybe a few other changes.

This merely to add the feeling of evilness.

I think there is a little more to it atm. When doing jobs in Crypts good people wouldn't rob the graves and sarcophagus'. If you're evil you might be more willing to take anything that isn't nailed down in the crypts. It adds a degree of evil.

I think maybe there should be a few more choices like this in jobs, like say...with a certain kidnapping job you can side with the kidnappers. Completely changing what you're fighting based on alignment seems like it would be pretty complicated.

I've actually gotten int conflicts with PCs that robbed graves on an evil character. I know that robbing graves is generally evil, but it's also rather cliché.

Enigma

I don't see how robbing graves would be evil since you aren't hurting anyone. That would be chaotic, if anything. I believe a good aligned character could rob graves and be just fine.

I beg you people not to go off-topic my suggestions always go off topic and get closed by not suggest anything at the end.

But do you agree this is necesary/desireble?

Secutor

This not only requires considerable work adding more quests, but will introduce new levels of fantasy duality that many do not find desirable. The implications of doing "evil" quests versus "good" quests will strengthen an already fairly inflexible system of the measurement of morality.
But! for you traditionalists, foul characters are very capable of acting vilely in any situation if imagination provides. I will deliver an example: A cannibalistic necromancer with a heart of coal endeavors to save the farmer's daughter with the purpose of sacrificing her to  Demogorgon and subsequently eating her tiny, tender liver. Upon finding her already slain, he stamps and throws a fit, then nibbles on her fingers in a pout. Surely, any of his companions would not doubt his "evil" tendencies, despite the positively "good" nature of the task he undertook. However, some of the more devious individuals will act benign, keeping their evil hand close to their chest until the time is right! It's all about the RP, yo. If you want to massacre villages with a demonic axe, your eyes a-glow with the red fires of hell, you should play... uh... Fable.

Or apply for a lycanthrope.

The issue with "evil" quests is that no one wants to deal with the consequences. If you just murdered someone ICly, even if it's quest, you just murdered someone. You could potentially get caught, and tried as a murderer. For doing a scripted quest.

Wasn't there a quest in the UD where you had to fight a party of adventurers?

The 'good' quests are only good because your PC does them wilh good intentions.

You can go rescue a farmer's daughter because you care, or because even if ou don't give a damn, you'll get paid.

I wouldn't focus so much on what the initial quest is about, but what you make of it.

Equinox

There are also quests with very clear options to do good or evil in them. I won't name any for spoiler reasons. But they are out there.

Thomas_Not_very_wise

:( I once asked for a quest where you could kill good aligned outsiders.

I was rebuked.

Besides, XPs are neutral. ;)

Stealing is a chaotic act, and certainly not evil. A good character might say that the wealth of the tombs is best used by the living, rather then the dead, etc.
