Drown Death = PVP Death

Pretty sure its been said before but did a quick search and didn't find it. For those that don't remember it, the magical damage from drowning makes the system think you were pvp'd (so I have heard) and so you can't respawn w/o dm.

That has to be a change in the last month then, since I've had multiple characters attempt the ring in the underwater tower quest and die, respawn, make it to the exit, and die right there.

It doesn't always happen, and I haven't been able to find any commonalities between when it does and does not. :-\

Were you attacked  at any point prior by a PC before you drowned?
