Gloves enhancing thrown weapons

So, compared to bows and crossbows, I think that darts, slings, and shuriken could use a little love. However, adding magical ammo to vendors is not the solution as one simply drains through it too rapidly and the cost is too great. Further, finding special ammunition seems somewhat rare and can certainly not be counted on. I understand the reasoning for this in concern to arrows and bolts, however thrown weapons are considerably lower damage in comparison, with the sole exception being the incredibly heavy throwing axes.
 
Instead I'm thinking more along the lines of gloves that add benefits if one is using a thrown weapon. Kind of how damage bonuses and such on gloves currently only effect unarmed combat. I understand these would have to be entirely scripted, of course, as nothing exists in the toolset for this... Unless that unarmed combat restriction on the bonuses can be extended to ranged weapons too.
 
Some ideas include a bonus of a given damage type to all thrown weapons (+damage vs racial group, +damage to all, that sort of thing) or even chance on hit effects (daze, slow, dispel) for special DM granted loot.
