I have never found anything in any of the piles of rubble (Unless you require a high search skill) This might be a bug.

Hm. Did it show what you rolled on the search check? I'm guessing it didn't since you didnt mention it.

Well, I'm not sure if I am missing anything. But I assume it is all the piles of rubble sitting around, and not a special QA (I did check every door in the ziggurat and the only one I found with clickables was two weaponry racks that were empty). So no it did not roll a search check.

Did quest. No Search check. Will wait next reset for it be fixed. Then I will use elf with 16 search to find all loot. yessss

I just did this quest for the first time.  Even though I'd never, ever done the quest before, every pile of rubble I went to said "You have already searched this area," even if I go to a new map that I hadn't been to before.
