I mean really people.  We're on an island chain, on the high seas.  Swashbuckling adventure practically writes itself.  We have a ship!  Free resting!  Storage!  We have a cabin boy if you swing that way!

Seriously folks.  Havent you ever wanted to fight pirates?  Find buried treasure?  Explore the high seas?  So many possibilities beyond just grinding Trogs, Harpies, and Orcs all day long.

Find Torvald IG, or Phebe, Finnegan, Tempes, or send us a tell here or in IRC.

Ditto everything said above, kids.

Travel to faraway places, battle terrible sea-creatures, and meet new and interesting people! (And stab them!) Unless you'd like your adventures on the high seas to go no further than a four-minute raftathon, roll yourselves up someone with a buckle to their swash and join the crew.

I want badly to join the faction but haven't found anyone of you ig for a long time!

I have been looking for a faction for my CG character, and found none. Ended up joining Mendon Estate for the lack of one (nor officially yet, though). If this faction is still up, I'd gladly join it with him.

I'm fairly sure the faction is dead.  Looked cool, though.  Sorry I was gone for their time.
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whisky, and 14 karat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

"Maybe there's just one revolution.  The good guys against the bad guys.  The question is, who are the good guys?"

Whether the faction is dead or not, I'm cooking up my next concept, and it is a Sailor of Valkur. Whether or not I find old members of Leviathan's lament, I'll be working towards forming a crew in the same style, having the same name/banner/goals or not. I invite all current sailor characters or new ones if you feel like joining. I do not necessarily plan on being the faction leader, but I do intend to bring it up together. Some reasons why playing Valkur Sailors is a lot of fun in EfU/A:

  • Automatic Conflict/Enemies: The challenge! Umberlee plays a strong role in this area, mainly in Old Port. Valkur folks are anti pirates! Hey, Ymph is currently infested with those, the Stygians and Ixpadian Bucaneers. Sahaugins and Harpies also automatic enemies! Valkur is a CG deity, that favors the freedom. Hey, the system supports slavery! No shortage of plot conflicts there. Even if hypoteticaly the faction grows strong in numbers and power, we'd be always outnumbered and outpowered, requiring the wits to even survive, which is pretty fun (in my book at least)
  • Legitimate plundering: Valkur sailors are sorts of hero privateers. They plunder pirates, hey you can loot and plunder with no problems of guilty concience (like you would have otherwise, lol)
  • You can call your scimmitar a Cutlass, your Rapier Saber and your dagger a Large Knife, also talk all the sailor lingo, Aye!
  • Simply because it's cool
Begad matey! Be joinin' me crew smartly! Arrr!
