So.

I've got a concept that works well enough on its own but wouldnt mind having a few more people to join in on the fun. My character is a Hoaran Detective who has interrupted from his usual pattern of wandering from place to place and bringing his ownform of justice by the magicks of the mythallar. Deciding to make the best of things, he will be setting up shop on Ymph. Though the faction will most likely be based out of the Docks (due to all that open real estate) my character will go where the clients are. Anyone who has been a victim of misjustice can hire the H.U.V.

That's where you come in.

We need diviners, to aid in the magical pursuit of the perpetrators. We need trackers and woodsmen, to lead the way once the trails leads us off the beaten path.
We need wise and learned man, who possess an understanding of human nature and psychology.
We need scholars/secretaries, to give us just the facts, keep contact and suspect information in line and who will doggedly pursue the truth at any cost.
We need muscle, to aid in the proper doling out of justice as Hoar sees fit.

My character walks the line between doing what is right and outright vigilantism, but yours doesn't have to by any means. I would say the only requirements to find a home in this concept is a sense of right and wrong and a desire to balance that, but even that isn't set in stone. You can twist it how you like:

Unscrupulous investigators who first find the skeletons in their client's closet, then blackmail. Maskarrans/Sharrans who abuse their position to spin as many secrets as they learn, for their personal gain. Criminals who run a racket: steal from the client first, then offer to 'recover' the property for a fee. Disillusioned guards/patricians who seek an opportunity to hold the law without the constraints of duty binding them. And those are concepts off the top of my head.

Hopefully, we can build up enough interest in this to warrant the occasional DM quest: solve cases that involve more than the tried and true formula of "This guy stole my ring go kill him to get it back."

"Be grim. Wear a fedora. Carry a .45 crossbow."-Egon

See you Hoars IG.

The Boom King

I like this idea. I'd get in on it if I wern't busy and didn't already have a character.
