Nandemo laptop problems

Alright, so I have a newish laptop from work. It is better than my old work laptop. Unfortunately I have had plenty of issues on getting IG and staying there. There seems to be no issue playing the game locally, only online.
 
Often on transitions the game hangs and I can't do anything but rest my computer.
Recently I was on for short time and tried the sand reef spider quest. I saw no spiders and could only react to their hits.
 
This is a standard Dell Laptop
 
I have lowered all of the video settings.
I have tried removing all of the domains to see if that was a problem.
 
My Stygian wannabe is stuck. Figures that on my first App'd PC, I can't even get IG. :(
 
 
I am open to suggestions, comments, complaints?

Try going into advanced sound settings in NWN and lowering it all the way to 2D. I had massive frame rate problems and randomly did this, and it worked for a few others and I.

Hmm, I just tested that and it appears that I can get back IG without issues.  I hope it stays that way.  :)

Sigh, still having issues. will keep trying things though.
