Water Genasi

Water Genasi should get some sort of underwater bonus. Free underwater resting would make a lot of sense, seeing as how many of them live underwater for most of their lives. (Never seen an underwater bedroll, have you?)

It doesn't make sense to me that water genasi are exactly on par with air genasi underwater. A being that lives under the water should definately be more at home than some random person who doesn't breathe air.Air genasi can stay underwater as long as they like, and get sweet spell immunities. It really does not make sense to me that water genasi are exactly the same underwater as any other race, just with the ability to breathe forever.

They should definitely be able to rest underwater like druids can in the wild. I think movement speed increase or at least no decrease would make sense, it's pretty logical to assume a water genasi is a much better swimmer than the average armor wearing joe.

Not sure if it's been suggested or not, but I don't think Immunity: Drown is entirely unreasonable addition to the race.  Perhaps they could even get a slight speed increase underwater?  With these two things I believe they might be better balanced with Air Genasi.

Granted, Water Genasi are still miles ahead of Fire Genasi in terms of balance.

As Mort's post made clear, it doesn't matter how many suggestions you make and whether they are reasonable or not. Simply: no time. Especially for characters that only 1-2 people are playing.

I'm bumping this in hopes of getting an updated answer.

In many occasion, I've come to feel this lately. Any person with bubble berries is in same level as genasi are underwater. Not to talk about air ones, that could be all the same as water. Except, they got more immunities.

I definitely am not trying to cry for making myself unbeatable. I am pointing out that I do feel water genasi should have something over the normal joes abilities underwater. Unfortunately simply being able to breath forever is something that somewhat doesn't carry much with bubble berries and rather long time being able to stay under water as it is.

I know, as Mort says, it is minor aspect. But I do hope, if someone has time, that it could be revised.

Gods no. Water genasi are not on par with sahuagin either. They do not have full fins or anything like that. Although, how can I say for sure, but that's how I see it.

I do not have full monster knowledge or exact planetouched being knowledge either. I am sure DMs could think of reasonable things for all of this, if they have time over other things.
