Need a way to just let loose and forget about the politics and intrigue of Upper? Roll a Goblin!

The Ratskulls came up spontaneously as an idea after my recent PC's death, which does not mean that they do not have an actual goal. Goblins, being chaotic and very malicious creatures, can always find something to do, and die horribly while doing it.

Background on the Ratskulls

Among the many different groups of Goblin Tribes and warbands, the Ratskulls identify each other by wearing Chosen skulls for helmets. Since defeating a Chosen is no small feat younger or less experienced Goblins of the Ratskulls will use much smaller rat skulls, usually of the giant rats found in the sewers.

Due to the challenge coming from defeating a Chosen Ratskulls view Strength as being of paramount importance, while most Goblins would prefer to be stealthy or cunning. The more experienced Ratskulls would even, surprisingly for a Goblin, take a challenger head on rather than run away. This makes the Ratskulls tribe far more aggressive, but not always more prone to dying, since the hardened and dangerous life in the sewers makes some of them especially dangerous below.

The more powerful a Chosen a warrior can defeat, and thus the larger and more magnificent the skull, the higher his status.

Classes

While Warriors (Fighter and Barbarians, especially Sewer Barbs) would form the core of the warband. Goblins from other castes may also find a place.

Scouts (Rangers and Rogues) may be used to scout and identify potential threats entering the sewers, or around them.

Shamans (Sorcerers and Clerics) may aid the warriors by buffing them, but even the Ratskulls know that if they are too few summons may be used. Illusions (invisibility) may be used, but usually as a way of attacking the enemy (closing the distance) and only in extreme cases used to run away.

Drummer and Horn Blowers (Bards) are also welcome.

Druids, Paladins and Wizards would find absolutely no place in the tribe/warband.

Goals

The Goal of the Ratskulls is simple, take, and control, the Sewers. That is the core. Fighting back any threat (from Lower or Upper) and holding onto the land for as long as possible (or permanently).

Future goals depend on the situation around them. Perhaps somebody completely mad would want to try and hire the Ratskulls as mercenaries, or the Ratskulls themselves would go on a warpath to loot, pillage and kill. Due to their close proximity to Lower, and especially due to their aggressive nature, conflict is guaranteed.
