Nhuduira Greymaw

Nhuduira, last of the Grey Mawed, first of the Dur'Quessir, risen in the fall of the sun and the ash of the Creator.

Elves get a lot of flack on EFU and I'm no exception; I'm a hater, too. Nonetheless, Nhuduira was born from a desire to practice what I preach and to give a genuine effort to do good by the race. I don't know if I necessarily succeeded in representing elves properly, but I can say with the utmost certainty that the entire (short) ride was a amazing. I've always meandered my way into playing a character rather than try to sit down with anything definitive in mind, but Nhuduira was thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish and arguably one of the most satisfying two weeks I've ever played of EFU. Every interaction and conflict I had as Nhuduira was incredible -- from the smallest quibbles in the wilds to the major PvP's and back-and-forth hunts that spanned the course of a day. So, thank you to everyone I had the chance to interact with. And thanks to the DM team for giving me the chance to play the PC; I had a blast and had a great adoration for playing the PC.

[hide=Brief History:]Once a werewolf who hunted under the tutelage of Sehanine Moonbow and Selune, the destruction of the sun and the corruption of the night sky brought her into a feral rage as the world descended into chaos. For a time, she worked with the revenge-seeking fanatics of Shevarash that appeared in the advent of the end of days, but quickly found that the blind hatred did little to sate her wants. She now retreats from the surface world, intent on rebuilding the strength of the elven race and reconstruct the race's resilience and power anew.[/hide]
[hide=Screenies]I promised myself that I was going to go ham on day one, and how appropriate it was that my first encounter with actual players on the server came in the form of a human threatening an elf. It really helped me set the tone for the character and there was an incredible adrenaline rush in knowing that I could be dead an hour into the PC. What a great start!

Nhuduira's next interactions were with the Stewards, and she utterly despised Groa from the very start. She didn't hold the Stewards in very high regard, either. She made it clear that she was not impressed with their "bleeding heart" antics and thought it a travesty that a druidic circle would let Sanctuary's corruption stand for so long. Nhuduira was outright disrespectful, if not hostile to most of the Stewards; Groa almost always referred to as a 'fetid goblin' while the rest were regularly called cowards and worse. Nhuduira sought to rule over Groa and co. with power and fear, increasingly perturbed by the countless secrets the circle was keeping from her. So prideful was Nhuduira, that even when she was offered the secrets of the Stewards, she refused them because she took insult in being deemed an 'initiate' of the circle.

Nhuduira had a staunch, unwavering, and elitist perspective on what she wanted the Dur'Quessir to be. Only those with strength, courage, determination, and a 'ends justify the means' mentality should be allowed to help renew the elven race under her tutelage. There were several instances where her views were too extreme for people -- and it was often the case that Nhuduira was willing to kill in order to preserve the sanctity of her people. If you weren't with Nhuduira, you were against her. There was no inbetween. This was epitomized with Kyretrielle, who she deemed a husk of a creature that couldn't be saved -- an example of the horrors that Dunwarren and humans could commit against the elves. Worse, the deplorable Groa wanted to waste valuable resources on saving her. So Nhuduira stalked Kyretrielle in the wilds and ended her life.
The elves never quite lifted off the way I wanted it to, but despite that, things were on their way towards some cool things! I had a small handful of elves that I encountered -- some stuck with me, some refused me -- but each interaction felt meaningful. I fully intended to infect any elves that decided to stay in Sanctuary and kill any elves that actively worked against Nhuduira; she was merciful enough to let anyone who denied her offer to leave, but afterwards, they were sworn enemies to be hunted. Despite my absolute best efforts, I never got the chance to run into any of the ones that denied the offer.
Assaulting the dwarf fortress was insanely exciting. Props to everyone involved. Situations like this seemed to happen almost every day whenever I was online. It was insane how much trouble I was able to get into in such a short span of time. The roleplay on team nature is so on point right now. If you're inbetween concepts, you should absolutely give them a chance -- cool shit is happening every second. Every moment with the dwarves was littered with great roleplay and tense battles throughout.
Team B Movie Horror Teamup was amazing. Each one of us hated each other to the core. Nhuduira had no love for both Muckus and the sahuagin -- but they were necessary evils, individuals with a shared purpose against Sanctuary, though all for their own radically different reasons. It felt like these three were always on the verge of tearing each other apart, and yet they still somehow managed to maintain this great, unspoken synchronicity with one another to strike out at a group of shield-dwellers without a word spoken... and then quickly return to bickering over which one of them was more worthy of prestige, and who would decide the fates of the defeated, and what to have for lunch.

But most importantly, I got to do the one thing I absolutely, positively, had to do as a lycanthrope before I died. I set out with this idea that I could capture a group of people from Sanctuary and do something utterly evil and outright nefarious to them to force the entire server to come after me. And I was given a brilliant opportunity when Team B Movie Horror Teamup captured four people. Nhuduira told them that she would let them go alive -- but only if one of them killed another of their group for their (imagined) transgressions against her people. She compromised and allowed one of the four to kill himself for the group. And then she pulled the chaotic evil bullshit card and bit them all anyways because fuck agreements with shield-dwelling scum. The idea was to embroil Sanctuary in such chaos that it couldn't withstand the fury of its own people -- to prove to them that their shield made them weak, and ultimately could not protect them. Nhuduira had a myriad of seedy #plans -- she was manipulative and happy to work with humans and other unsavory types to further her desires. None of them came to fruition, however.

Unfortunately, it was Nhuduira's second kill in the dwarven thane Falgrim -- and not her infecting of Sanctuary's citizens -- that got her killed. I probably could have gotten away, but my pride always says to stick it out in PvP's to the end.

Thanks for the fun. Stay classy.

My internet crashes, and this happens? Fuck life.

Really well done, at least the parts I got to see and be a part of.
And thanks for a memorable PvP and a good evil end to it!

Nhuduira was awesome to play with - she captured the dualities of elven grace and ferocity.  Sad to see her go this soon!

Characters of this caliber can't be judged by their longevity but the size of the crater they leave in their wake. Monstrous PCs start with an expiration date and true to form you raised a hellacious amount of mayhem with the B Movie Squad and brought some sizzle. Meeting on the second day of my PC helped flesh out the philosophy so much and develop the character as only finding the polar opposite of your entire existence can.

I'm excited to see what big bad spawns from the twisted mind of Fitz!

Excellent antagonist.  Your two weeks will be felt for quite some time on the server. Well played Fitz! Was elitist, ruthless elf from the very first meeting in the crossroads cave, to their last epic fight outside same. Really well done man.

OuterSanctum

I have to say this character was well-done because my usually stoic researcher absolutely hated everything about her after less than 10 seconds of interaction.  Every time I made a plan or alliance, she wound up killing or infecting my allies. Mikael spent a good three days IG just plotting ways to piss her off.

I'm going to miss the leader of the elf team

Heavyfog

Excellent character!  Happy you were able to achieve so much in such a short span!  Sorta sad I've been away from EFU over this past weekend as Madoc would have liked to be more involved in hunting Greymaw. Good luck on your next PC!
