The Temple Of Hoar

Divine Intervention

I'm looking to lead this faith/group in a resurgence to the glory days of the Harbingers of Doom that once were.  Expect street justice, epic heroism and kicking evil in the face repeatedly with the iron shod foot of justice.  This faction is suitable for a wide range of concepts based around the theme of retribution/justice.  It is currently a player group (and small at that) but has a nifty HQ temple with some nice perks, and a huge playground to make its mark in the form of Lower.

Recommended Alignment: Preferably Non-Evil as I'm currently heading things up as a paladin, though as time progresses there may be room for such concepts interpreting Hoarran dogma their own way.

Recommended Race: Non-Monstrous.

Recommended Class: Non-Druid.

If you think this might appeal to you then feel free to find me in #Hoar to discuss new concepts or how an existing character might fit in.

Remember when Dunwarren Defensive Devices used to have charges of Level 10 Confusion and they got nerfed? Yeah.

Divine Intervention

Still very much looking for new recruits to build up this faction.  A few people have gotten involved and this is a great way to get into the vibe of lower and provides a number of interesting goals deeply involved in both current goings on and server lore/history.  Given that the world of EFU is beset by numerous evils inflicting terrible atrocities on humanity, it's the perfect time to become an AVENGER.

As stated, new pc's are welcome along with those looking to convert and gain a new direction for a current character.

The temple of hoar has a rich history on EFU. Get in there and be a part of something awesome!

Temple of Hoar has a nice plot going and could use some regularly active players. If you want to join or have a concept in mind drop by #Harbingers and we will be happy to help you come up with one. Getting some attention as well IG, great time to join.

Do this, embrace this, I AM BATMAN!

Revenant

This faction is most definitely active again, and we're in the midst of gearing up for some really interesting plot stuff. There's never been a better time to start meting out righteous vengeance and there's plenty to be done, whether you want to make a justice dealing Harbinger or something more niche involving service to Hoar. There's huge scope for retribution themed characters.

If you want to get involved, (whether on an existing PC new to the ways of the Temple, or a tailored one) hit me up or show up to the Temple IG and dive in.

Pretty much any non-evil character/class will likely fit right in, but as always, use your common sense.

N.B. There's a very distinct dichotomy between good and evil in the current Lower environment (I'm heading the faction as a Paladin), and that's beginning to make for some intense morality conflict that's only going to get tougher. Personally I think this makes for engrossing but difficult RP, so if that's not your cup of tea you may prefer to stick to something more clear cut.

Send me a message if you have any questions/queries, or maybe want to hash out a character concept.

Could have sworn Hoar takes evil clerics, why non evil?

He's a paladin.

You're right, and I didn't explicitly state that non-evil characters aren't allowed, it was more of a recommendation. I'm playing a Paladin, and that coupled with the general direction I'm planning on taking the faction might make things very difficult or near impossible for an 'evil' character.

There's definitely scope for a Lawful Evil type Hoaran character, and it's up to players to decide whether they want to do something like that... but I wouldn't recommend it for the reasons above.

Its called inner faction conflict! Feel free to make a Lawful Evil Hoaran peeps! Also part of Hoar's dogma is "Violence will meet violence and evil pay back evil. Do not let a paladin in a faction stop you from pursuing a different goal. If you feel like making a lawful evil priest of Hoar preaching vengeance and evil paying back evil do it. If you want to make a watch private dedicated to abusing his authority do not let a paladin scare you away.

I don't believe that Revenant's stopping anyone from making an evil-aligned Hoaran, but merely echoing D_I's statement in the opening post:

I am sure that the Harbingers would OOCly welcome any PCs of an 'evil' disposition as a means to strike up a bit of inter-factional conflict. It should be warranted, however, that due to the nature of the current characters that are heading the faction, following up with such a concept will be challenging - which is not a bad thing by any means!
