Tentative Vagabond Perk Bug

I am tentative because I know this perk is complex, and I haven't used it before. But at the moment, if I get buffed with cats grace, (which brings my dex above 14), I get additional AC.

So dex 14, leather armour, vagabond perk lvl 5, shield = 19
+ cats grace = 20 or 21 depending on the roll.

The perk says:
Quote- Dexterity modifier above 2

This implies you are supposed to keep the same AC irrespective of dex above 14, but perhaps this is just base dex?

Anyway, sorry for another report on this particularly tricky perk, I imagine I can hear Talir crying softly into his breakfast as he reads this.

Talir

Not a bug and yes, it is in regards to base dexterity. Leather armor allows up to +6 AC from dexterity modifier and since the perk itself does not account for later buffs to dexterity, you get more AC since it is not hindered by armor restrictions.

This particular perk never ceases to confound people :(

Great, thanks and sorry again.

I think the description  needs a bit more information. There is a line in there that mentions your total ac (which as I understand it :10 + Dex + Armor + Armor bonus) will never exceeds 16 at lvl 1, 17 at lvl 5, 18 at lvl 8 regardless of dex bonus.

Does that count for tumble ac bonus? This put the perk at 19 ac at lvl 8 (without shield). Comparable to a full plate fighter.

I am not going to do any more changes to the description for clarification measures because frankly someone will eventually get it wrong no matter what I do. I have accepted that and there's no change that will prevent it.

It does not count for tumble AC bonus. So yes, you could get +1 AC from tumble at level 8.

I'll lock this thread as no bugs have been mentioned here.
